Mana Hama’s vision is to change the current perception of poverty and social policy in the State of Israel. While adopting the belief that no person wants to be dependent on the charity of others, we at Mana Hama have faith in an individual’s own abilities, and provide assistance for each and every person to stand on one’s own feet, believing that this is the best way, the right way, to preserve one’s human dignity.
Not only does Mana Hama provide hot meals for the needy, but it addresses the basic problems of getting out of the vicious cycle of poverty by assisting the unemployed to integrate into the working world or to volunteer in hospitals to reinforce their self-esteem.
Our vision is to strive to change the current perception of poverty and social policy in the State of Israel.
Mana Hama has envisioned specific goals:
· To open additional soup kitchens throughout Israel, specifically in Sderot, Beersheva and Tzefat.
· To expand our roster of volunteers helping families in need
· To supply tutors for children whose parents are unable to pay for help in studies
· To furnish a new schoolbag for each child for the beginning of each school year, so that no student should be ashamed to go to school without new notebooks and school supplies
· To provide professional help from top experts, such as lawyers, legal experts, accountants, members of Knesset, government ministers and professionals in other fields, to all in need, without remuneration
· To provide hot meals in Ashdod on Sabbath and holidays and continue our work of helping those in need.
